Trust and transparency
Editorial Policy
Cruise Guide exists to help readers make better travel decisions, not to publish the greatest possible number of deals.
Last updated August 30, 20261. Editorial purpose
We explain the practical trade-offs behind ships, cabins, itineraries, costs, and port days. Advice is organized around a traveler’s decision rather than around a partner’s sales message.
Cruise Guide does not sell cruises and cannot confirm availability, price, entry eligibility, or suitability for an individual traveler.
2. Source hierarchy
Changeable facts are checked against primary sources wherever possible: port authorities, transport operators, government travel guidance, official attraction sites, cruise-line documents, and current deck plans for the exact vessel.
Traveler reports can add context about noise, comfort, crowds, or route experience, but one report is not presented as a universal rule. We distinguish personal experience, sourced fact, and editorial inference.
3. Dates and verification
Articles show an updated date and link to official source notes for material facts that can change. Readers should recheck schedules, prices, terminal assignments, health guidance, documentation, and booking terms for their exact sailing.
4. Affiliate independence
A commercial relationship may influence which booking links are available, but it does not give a partner approval over conclusions, rankings, warnings, or corrections. We may recommend not booking, choosing a different format, or verifying directly with the provider.
5. AI assistance and images
AI tools may assist with outlining, language editing, code, and illustrative image generation. Material factual claims are checked against named sources before publication. AI output is not treated as a source.
Illustrative images are used for atmosphere and explanation; they are not documentary proof of a named ship, cabin, terminal, or current condition unless the caption explicitly identifies a verified source.
6. Corrections
If you find a factual error, send the article URL, the disputed statement, and a reliable source to online-cruiz@inbox.ru. We review substantive corrections, update the page when warranted, and do not preserve a claim merely because it already receives traffic.
